Privacy Policy
Velvet Aces is a party game designed to respect your privacy. The game runs on your device. There is no account, no login, and no profile. We do not ask for your name, email, contacts, location, or any other personal information to play.
What is stored on your device only
The following are saved on your phone and are not transmitted to us or to any third party:
- Player names + game state — the names you add to your table, current round, scores, active session.
- Your custom decks (the Private Table feature, included with the $9.99 one-time upgrade) — every prompt you write is stored locally only.
- Imported packs — if you paste a
.va-packJSON pack from a friend or from a website, the content of the pack lives on your device only; the import happens entirely client-side. - Your settings — language preference, sound on/off, which decks are active.
These items live in your device's local storage. We do not have access to them and we cannot recover them. They are removed when you uninstall the app.
What is processed by third-party services
To offer free play and in-app purchases, Velvet Aces uses these services. Each operates under its own privacy policy.
Advertising — Google AdMob (free tier only)
The free tier shows an adaptive banner and one interstitial per session, served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers and usage data to serve and measure ads.
- On iOS, the app asks for tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency, ATT). If you decline, we request non-personalized ads.
- Purchasing either in-app upgrade ("Remove Ads" $1.99 or "Unlock Private Table" $9.99) disables advertising entirely — no ads are shown, no ad SDK calls are made.

Purchases — Apple App Store / Google Play (via RevenueCat)
When you buy "Remove Ads" or "Unlock Private Table", payment is processed by Apple (on iOS) or Google (on Android). We use RevenueCat to verify your purchase status and unlock the matching feature, and to enable the Restore Purchase button.
- We never see or store your payment card details — those are handled entirely by Apple or Google.
- RevenueCat sees an opaque user identifier and the fact of your purchase.

What we do not collect
We do not collect, transmit, or share:
- Your name, email, phone number, or contacts
- Your photos, microphone, or camera
- Your precise location
- Your health data
- The contents of any of your custom decks or imported packs
- Communications between you and other players
Custom decks and imported packs
The Private Table custom-deck feature lets you create and store your own truth/dare prompts and import packs that others have shared with you. All of this content is local to your device only. We do not host a server for packs, we do not back up your decks, and we do not include any sharing mechanism that touches our infrastructure.
Sharing your custom deck happens entirely outside the app: the app generates a JSON text blob that you can copy to your clipboard and send to a friend through whatever messaging tool you choose. Your friend can paste the same JSON back into the app to import your deck. We have no visibility into this.
Children
Velvet Aces is rated for adults (17+ on Apple, Mature 17+ on Google Play). The app is not directed to children. Themes are suggestive and flirtatious throughout.
Your choices
- Ads / tracking — on iOS, decline ATT at first launch; reset your advertising identifier in Settings any time. On Android, reset your ad ID or opt out of personalized ads in your Google account settings.
- Purchases — managed through your App Store or Google Play account. Apple Family Sharing and Google Play Family Library are supported.
- Local data — uninstalling the app removes all data stored on your device. There is no separate "delete account" flow because there is no account.
Data deletion
Because there is no account, there is no server-side profile to delete. To remove all local data, uninstall the app. For any data held by the third-party services listed above, refer to each provider's policy or contact us at our contact email and we will help you reach the right place.
International users
Velvet Aces is available in English, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese. The above privacy practices apply to all users regardless of region.
EU/UK users: under GDPR and UK GDPR, the legal basis for our limited third-party processing is your consent (ATT on iOS, ad personalization preferences on Android) and the performance of a contract (in-app purchases).
California residents: under CCPA, we do not "sell" or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in the statutory sense; ATT on iOS and the equivalent Android controls allow you to opt out of personalized ad delivery.
Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page will change accordingly. We do not push notifications about policy changes — please check back periodically if you want to stay informed.
